Khao Yai National Park map

Khao Laem National Park and 3 Pagodas Pass
Located on the border with Burma. Famous 3 pagodas pass is not far from the park inside Kanchanaburi province.

Sai Yok National Park 
lies 104 km NW of Kanchanaburi.  Tigers and elephants still inhabit this wild region of stunning scenery, which stretches all the way to the Burmese border. 

Kaeng Krachan National Park 
63 km NW of Hua Hin, Phet Buri, is the largest protected area and covers an area of 3,083 sq km. Established as a national park in 1981 on the initiative of King Bhumibol. Kaeng Krachan protects a vital part of the Tenasserin hills watershed.   It houses significant populations of large mammal species - elephant, tiger, leopard, gibbon etc. More than 310 bird species can be found in the park's tropical evergreen forest, together with some 40 mammal species, including leopard, tiger, elephant, bantent, white-handed gibbon and possible the Sumatran rhinoceros.

Phu Wiang National Park,
Khon Kaen NE, the wooded rim of an ancient volcanic crater where numerous dinosaur footprints have been discovered, together with fossilised bones and teeth, dating back an estimated 160 million years.  Several sites contain examples of prehistoric rock art and some of the dinosaur   excavation sites.

Thap Lan National Park,
Prachin Buri.  Thailand's second largest, about 2,239 sq. km. There is wide range of fauna.  Forest cover is predominantly tropical evergreen forest, houses of many large mammals, including elephants, tigers and bears.

Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park
Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park about 17 kilometers off the main highway at km. 274, abounds with various types of trees and plants, as well as those species highly valued as decorative plants. There are 20 caves and 4 waterfalls in this area which are opened for tourists. The biggest waterfall is Chamao waterfall ,with 8 layers of falls. Khao Wong Caves
To reach Khao Wong take the turning at KM. 288 on the Sukhumvit Road and travel a distance of 12 kilometers to find the caves. At Khao Wong, there are about 60 caves around the base of the mountain,  many of the cave are occupied by Buddhist monks, and one has been turned into a shrine with a replica of the Buddha's footprint

Bambu träd
stammarna som hos vissa arter kan bli ända upp till 40 meter höga och ha en diameter på mer än 20 cm.
bambu används också som födoämne framför allt i asien. skotten skördas unga innan det blivit hårda. Det äts syltade eller kokta och är tämligen rika på kolhydrater.
Bambuarterna har fått en synnerligen mångskiftande användning. De fungerar t.o.m som byggnadsställningar för t.ex målare i Thailand.
